Please join me in thanking parents Shaker Al-Muaber, Steven Bowyer, and Shamim Ahmed for working with their companies and with the St. Francis Development Office to help supply needed resources for the St. Francis technology program. Shaker Al-Muaber worked with his company, IBM, to leverage the many volunteer hours he has served to help provide back-up power sources for our server (UPS). In addition, IBM donated four desktop computers to the school. Steven Bowyer and Shamim Ahmed, both with HP, utilized the HP Gifts-In-Kind International program to help secure a total of 8 laptops to be used by teachers and office personnel. We work to provide our students with the best technology that we are able but, as resources are limited, we are typically unable to provide laptops for teacher use. Due to the generosity of these donors, we are able to do so this year. Several laptops are now available for our teachers to check out on an “as needed” basis.
If you are interested in giving to St. Francis School, I ask that you first contact Peggy Hanley, Director of Development, at 225-1832 or phanley@stfrancis-school.org. We know that, as parents, you want to make an impact on your child’s school and we would like to work with you to ensure that we are able to use your gifts efficiently.
Thank you to all of you who give of your time and your resources to make St. Francis a top-notch school!
Warmly,
Barbara
