Jeffrey Swan, parent of Joshua and Ethan (7th grade), and Matthew Zemo will present a parent meeting on "Transition to High School," on the evening of Thursday, April 8th from 5 pm - 6 pm in the St. Francis library. This informational and engaging learning opportunity is an amazing opportunity for the parents of St. Francis students.
Topics will include:
- High School Graduation Plans
- Special Education (IEPs and accommodations)
- 504 Accommodations
- Communicating with Teachers about specific student needs
- Assessments for Quailifying for Special Services
Matthew Zemo, an educational consultant and special education teacher, currently serves as the Special Education Department Chair at a local high school. Additionally, he works privately with parents who need detailed consultation related to their child's academic needs.
